With fuel prices almost hitting US $150 a barrel, who wouldn’t want to save gas money?
These days, oil price is hurting us badly. It is not unusual to see prices at gas stations adjusted upwards for more than 10 times since the beginning of this year. In Malaysia, the Prime Minister’s political position is compromised when the petrol prices shoot up by 40 percent overnight
So, how exactly can we save money on fuel, gas or petrol?
Having driven cars for almost 30 years, I found the following to help save gas money.
1) Travel light
The heavier the car, the more gas it consumes. Things that are not used on a daily basis should be not left in the car. For example, I have seen many golf enthusiast their their golf clubs in the car but they only use it weekly or fortnightly.
2) Air conditioning
This consumes high power. When waiting for someone, switch off the air conditioner. This gives substantial savings.
3) Plan you route
Plan your route to get the shortest distance. In cities, however, avoid streets with heavy congestion as the car also consumes fuel in idle time or while waiting at traffic lights.
4) Schedule
If possible, choose to travel in non peak hours to avoid traffic congestion. A smooth flow help to optimize fuel consumption
5) Drive at optimal speed
Travel at consistent speed. When accelerating, do not exceed 250rpm. While the acceleration rate is slower, any value higher than this will actually consume unnecessary fuel
6) Use 95 octane
Buy 95 octane fuel instead of 98 octane fuel. Practically, the mileage you get is about the same but 98 octane cost much higher. So, you optimize your savings by switching to 95 octane fuel.

Get Paid To Socialize With YuWie - Earn Money For Blogging, Commenting & Referring Friends

Everyone’s heard of MySpace - the largest social networking site on the internet. MySpace’s strength is in its ability to bring people of all walks of life together - finding shared interests and activities. Currently, MySpace is listed as the 6th most popular site on the internet - period. That’s just a few steps behind Google, Amazon and Yahoo! At last count, there are approximately 200 social networking sites. However, MySpace enjoys a jaw dropping 80 percent of that traffic.
Social networking is a generic term. It is a type of relationship-building of people with a common interest whether business or personal. In these social networking sites, people develop relationships based on a variety of criteria including common interests, music, videos and more. The idea is to build a relationship with new people - ultimately turning strangers into friends.
Unfortunately, MySpace has also become synonymous with spam profiles. It’s difficult to find genuine people on MySpace.
